Tips for a Shine free face!
First things first! Start with a clean lightly moisturized face
You can skip the lotion and reach for some sunscreen ( i love Shiseido sunscreen in spf 60)
Next Oil Control starts before your foundation you can you use a primer such as Smash Box Photo finish or
a lot of ladies love milk of magnesia (I've never tried; it but I've heard great things!)
Now on to the MAKEUP!
When the warmer months hit the first thing that I do is ditch my beloved liquid foundation for a tinted Moisturizer
its not heavy and you don't have to worry about you pores getting clogged or your face melting off in the heat.
Or my other favorite summer option is to switch to a powder foundation like MAC's mineralized skin finish powder of studio fix
powder. You can also combine the two (tinted moisturizer and powder to achieve full coverage if thats something you want.
Another switch up you can make for controlling your oil is switching creme blush to powder blush,
the same goes for your highlighter and your eyebrows!
So we covered the skin care, the makeup and I know we all will still experience some type of oil so here are a few things you can
keep with you to fight the shine and soak up the oil as well as add to your makeup routine!
I personally love Sonia Kashuk oil blots you can pick them up at target they come in a cute pouch that fits inside your purse and they work great to soak up any oil.
Next up is Blot powder after you have used your blot paper dust some blot powder in the needed areas to stop the shine you can also pick up Make Up For Ever HD Microfinishing Powder
(Please make sure that if you are going to use a blot powder that you do use blotting paper first,
as well as try to use a brush instead of the sponge that comes with it so that you do not transfer oil into your compact.)
A few products that Ive tested out and think they would be GREAT for any one with oily skin are
Make Up For Ever's All Mat, Smashbox Anti-Shine, Laura Mercier Secret Finish mattifier and Urban Decays De-Slick. You can check and TRY out all these products at a Sephora near you.
They are state the same claim, end shine and keep your face matter all day, while its more of a wish upon a star that it was all day they do work great at controlling the shine just keep blotting
paper near!
Ive heard great things about Cosmedicine (also sold at Sephora) and will be giving it a try and hopefully I can come back and update you guys on it!
