I RECEIVED AN AWARD!!!!! Oh....and heaven in the form of drive-thru chicken is at Pollo Tropical (Jacksonville, FL) :)

OMG guys so as you can tell from the title...I RECEIVED AN AWARD!!!!  I am super stoked about it because it was totally unexpected.  I am really humbled by the "blog love" I've received since starting my blog one month ago.  I really appreciate all of you and truly enjoy visiting your blogs and reading your comments.  I was awarded the "One Lovely Blog Award" by the lovely  CocoaGirlD at http://cocoacazhmere.blogspot.com/.  Her blog focuses on beauty and inspirations and it's a breath of fresh air!  Thanks chica!

MY 7 RANDOM FACTS

1.) I LOVE LOVE LOVE to draw!!! In 2009 I fulfilled one of my "bucket list" items...I illustrated a children's book!  It's entitled "Why Does The Sunset Mommy?" written by Rhonda Boles.  Please check it out here and here!!!

2.) All of my life I've been told I look like "Rudy" from The Cosby Show...No LIE someone told me earlier this week "Hey you know who you look like....Rudy!  From the Cosby Show!" What do yall think?

3.) I was a military brat, born in Honolulu, Hawaii

4.) I LOVE dogs!!!! Both big and small!

5.) I was a model in a modeling troupe in college.  I still walk in fashion shows here and there.  I've got a pretty mean walk!!! ;)

6.) I've run in the 15K (9.3 miles) Gate River Run every year for the past 3 years with one of my BFFs Maribel!

7.) I have recently become addicted to Pollo Tropical- Chicken on The Grill!  It is the best quick-service chicken joint around!  If you don't live in Florida, New Jersey, Bahamas, Venezuela, Honduras, Trinidad, Ecuador, or Puerto Rico, you're missing out.  I had it for lunch yesterday with my parents who are here visiting me!  You already know I come bearing pictures so here they are:





The chicken is citrus marinated and the also have mojo pork, and guava barbecue ribs!  The chicken is always so fresh and it is hormone and trans fat free!!! The best part is that you can get all this fresh goodness in a drive thru!!!! WHAT!!! 

Did I mention how affordable they are...the 3 of us ate for $20! 

Oh and you can get wine also!!!

My daddy had the Tropical Trio which included the ribs, chicken, wings, and 2 sides!!!!  (Yall those wings are that DEAL!!!)

I had the quarter chicken (leg & thigh) with yellow rice.veggies, and black beans!  YUM-YUM!!!

This food is sooo good and the prices are even better!
