It's An Urban Jungle

So, although things may appear to have been a little quiet on here I've been busy at work... Both with A level revision (oh the joys!) and with doing some modelling for a friend.  The theme for her photography work has been based upon the city, so we decided upon glamourous clothes mixed with her dramatic location of a deserted car park.

Understandably, it wasn't all glitz and glamour as I rapidly switched outfits under Jeni's careful lookout (I didn't want to frighten the local wildlife) in the middle of the carpark and promptly found myself enjoying the idea of becoming "spiderwoman" for the morning...

La Femme Naturelle

I was reading over my previous blog ("Everything Enchanting") and found this group of photos that I am still avidly in love with.  The hint of summer in the warm breeze has seemed to make everyone just a little bit more chipper and summery.

I love noting down little phrases which strike a chord with me... I often scribble them on my window with a whiteboard pen so the sun shines through them (or in this case, the snow gives them a pretty feel at the moment). But how much of these mean anything to anyone else?

"Replace Fear Of The Unknown With Curiosity"

I stumbled across this photo somewhere on the big wide web (if you know its source, please let me know as I'd love to accredit it to the amazing person who originally took it) and immediately fell in love with the philosophy behind it.  So many people wander around, not knowing what is behind each corner and worry about such small things: am I going to be on time, what happens if I do this, what happens if I don't do that...  So much of life is spent wondering "what if" and then never being willing enough to take that risky step as it may lead into trouble.  People would rather sit tight and trundle along in their "métro-boulot-dodo" life rather than taking a risk and branching out... This is why I love the idea of doing something everyday that scares you; generally, that's by breaking the routine.  So why not?

It was gumballs!!!

Big HIGH FIVE to Jill Johnson and Julie Jackson. The book release party for "Glamourpuss... The Enchanting World of Kitty Wigs" at Shampoo was a raging success! The Meow Mix Girls mixed it up with candy and sparklers while Mr. Kitty Wig directed the madness towards the dancefloor where the cats fought it out till the wee hours of the night. Shampoo's walls were graced with lovely photos from the book... there still hanging so... stop by and be a part of the kitty wig phenomenon.
