Hello All! I am Roneshia from the lovely Detroit, MI. I have always been a fan of locks but was too afraid to get them. Afraid Of what people will think of me or how I would be accepted. That all changed the summer of 2008 at a friends party when a young girl entered the room with the most beautiful head of locks I have ever seen on a person. As I interrogated her she informed me that they were sisterlocks and suggested that I stop perming my hair. I did and I haven't looked back since. So here I am a year later. TJ's Sisterlock Journey

I have been documenting my hair journey since my BC in October 2007. I began my loc journey with 5 ½ inches of natural hair. My locs were born over the course of 2 days and 21 hours February 2009. I’m in the middle of three generations of Sisterlockers! It was because of the journeys of others that I have been able to make informed decisions regarding my hair. I pray that I can be of assistance to someone else seeking liberation from being held hostage by their hair.

Greeting all I would like to share My Hair Locking Journey off eight years.

Before I started my locks I was waring Braids for years after my hair broke off from a perm I had before as a teenager.
I never wanted to go there again. I also wore a Maxwell style Afro, I liked it a lot but I always wanted locks so in 2000
I went to locks,that I Love very much.

I Also make Natural hair care products from my garden. Because I love Natural Healing & Natural Herbal health..
Many people have been enjoying the benefits of my Herbal Hair Mist,
Herbal Shampoo/Conditioners I make.
I also use Shea Butter mixes for my hair..
They all have many Herbs, Plants,Essential Oils that promote Good Hair Health...

I patiently waited for Maryee to scold me and send me away for being such a modern technology failure after bombarding her with emails for step by step solutions...BUT she didn't, she was a STAR and helped me all the way through! I am Knots and my journey to the liberating life of sisterlocks began 13 May 2005 and it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made in my adult life. I began with 2 inches of new growth and shoulder length relaxed hair. I only wish I would have discovered this locking method sooner. This photo was taken 1 week before my 2.5 year mark.
