FOTD: Sugarpill Hysteric + MAC Crazy Cool

I've been using the Sugarpill make up I hauled from IMATS a lot and I've really been loving the colors and pigmentation of the shadow! I find that the pressed powders are way more pigmented than the loose pigments but all the colors are really pretty! I used Sugarpill's Hysteric on the outer v and it's a nice purple color. I didn't feel the need to smoke it out and it's light enough to be wearable during the day and you can always smoke it out and wear it at night. FOTD: Sugarpill Midori & MAC Browns + New Hair

It's been ages since I posted a FOTD! I've just had lack of inspiration and I really haven't been in love with the way my make up looks have been coming out lately so I just kinda gave up for a little. But I've been playing with a lot of my goodies from my IMATS haul and I'm sooo in love with my Sugarpill make up! I've been using Midori a lot because it's such a pretty green. (And if you didn't know Midori means "green" in Japanese!) I really liked the way this came out because the green is so vibrant but the browns make it wearable during the day. Sorry if the pictures aren't as clear, I had to use my iPhone since I left my camera in Hawaii! >___<

Aaaand I wanted to show you all my new hair cut! I trim my hair regularly because I've been trying to grow it out but I'm always getting split ends and my hair grows so fast I have to trim my bangs all the time. I wanted to try out the "front bangs" (as I call them) or "fringe bangs" idk what they're officially called? I've had sideswept bangs since my senior year in high school and I wanted something different but I kind of regret it! I'm not really feeling the fringe, idk if I just have to get used to it or what but I'm going back to sideswept ASAP! Oh yeah and I dyed my hair super dark brown. It's so dark it looks black! I wanted to go back natural because I'm having a hard time keeping up my hair color since it grows so fast so I think I'm gonna leave it dark for a while. It was so odd to have my hair dark again! Especially with the bangs! But I guess it's nice to have some change every once in a while.

This is the look I'm using in my last outfit of the day and my November favorites. I'm always attracted to teals/blues when I buy eyeshadows but I barely use them because sometimes blues can be too much! I did this look using the NARS Cheyenne Duo from my Sephora Haul. It's such a perfect color combo especially since Thanksgiving is coming up, and I think it would be a great everyday look too. I've been using a lot of neutral looks lately, I kind of miss doing the super bright make up! I think I'll get around to doing a few since the Holidays are right around the corner! I used a lot of the stuff I got from my Sephora haul in this look and I have to say, I'm pretty happy with my haul. Maybe I'll do mini reviews on everything, what do you guys think? Speaking of hauls, I have a MAJOR haul post coming up because for some reason the evil shopaholic in me took over this month!

I just realized taking these pictures how horrible I am at picture taking! I look so horrible! I took a nicer picture in the daylight but the light just washed out my eyeshadow! I've never got the hang of it, even though I really should. Anyone got any tips?? :)

Beauties Play It Cool FOTD

It's been a while since I did a FOTD and I've been really loving the Beauties Play It Cool palette from MAC's Holiday Collection. It's probably because it's the purple palette and I LOVE purples! I did a video tutorial on it too! :) The video quality is definitely a lot better than my old camera but I still don't know if it's HD or not?! I look so awkward in front of the camera but hopefully it's not too bad!

FOTD: Neutrals with UD Naked Palette

So far I'm lovin' the new Urban Decay Naked Palette! It's sold out on the Sephora and Urban Decay website, but I believe it's coming out in Sephora stores this weekend? Rumor is supposedly July 29th, but it is permanent! But I can foresee it being sold out for maybe the next month? Anyway I feel like people don't do enough neutral looks just because they're "plain" and not that much color, but really who can wear color everyday to work/school? I know I can't! FOTD: Nicki Minaj 'Hello Good Morning' Video Inspired

I wish I knew who Nicki Minaj's makeup artist is because if she does all her looks, she's amazing! I love how she always has bright dramatic make up in every video she's in. So when I saw her in P. Diddy's new music video "Hello Good Morning" [the remix] I haaad to do this look.

Sooo like I said it my last post I've been using a lot of the same things in my FOTDs because I only brought certain things with me on my trip! But this look is really easy and simple I think it's great for wearing during the day because it uses color but at the same time it's not in your face. I think Paradisco is going to be my favorite summer color! I'm sad because I'm leaving in 2 days! =[ But the good news is... I'm coming back in August! Hawaiian Airlines is having a sale on tickets from HI to the mainland for only $165 one way!!! So if you're planning to make a trip to Hawaii you should definitely check it out! I got my round trip ticket for only $350 with tax! That is CRAZY! I think it's if you fly from Aug 1 - December something but if you're planning to fly around the holidays you need to CHECK NOW! In other news, I went to Ross and found some cute stuff!! Ugh this always happens to me! I keep telling myself I need to stop buyin shit but I swear I'll go on my no buy after I come back from vacation in like 3 weeks! But I found this super cute zebra print drawer thingy



It's made out of Maize? or that's what the tag says it's supposed to be eco friendly which is a plus but either way it's really cute! I thought about putting my make up int here but the drawers are too deep for me I think I'm gonna use it for my accessories or something like belts, hats whatever. There was even a little ottoman thingy that was zebra print too but I already have one and it was a little on the expensive side!



And the second thing I got was a little ring holder! It was only $3.50 and it's shaped like a ballet flat! I don't have very many rings so it's a good size for me. That was pretty much it but I'll leave you with this picture of my dog. He's being a TOTAL butthead to me lately and not listening at all! Look at him he looks like a bad boy! lol

FOTD: NYX Smokey Eye

I really liked how this look came out! I used the NYX Skintone base, but after I did it I thought maybe I should have used the white base to make the colors more vibrant but I'll try it again later. It reminds me of a toned down version of the MAC Satin Taupe/Carbon smokey eye that I did here. Of course it's not as pigmented. Again, maybe with the white it will! Oh and guess what? This is a mostly NYX look! I know, I know I always use MAC but I wanted to use my new stuff so I thought hey I can try to do an all NYX look! I still used my Blacktrack Fluidline and I wanted to try out the Stila liner I just got but for the most part it's NYX. =] I'm trying to branch out more so here's a start!

FOTD: Beyonce 'Honey Bee' Inspired

I know everyone went crazy over the Lady Gaga & Beyonce - Telephone music video when it first came out! I wanted to do some looks from the video but I haven't really had time since I've been so busy! But I managed to try out Beyonce's "Honey Bee" look from the diner. Finally got to break out my MAC Chrome Yellow - the one that everyone buys but never uses! lol Here's the original:

My look is toned down a lot more - definitely more wearable during the day. Now that I look at it I should have used a darker brown in my crease but whatever! It's not too much and the yellow kinda pops. Sorry I did this look in like 10 minutes it looks kinda sloppy! lol

It looks hella sloppy but whatever it's been a while since I put up a FOTD! I tried to wing the eyeliner as best as I could but I'm not particularly fond of winged liner. Anyway in other news I went to Sephora today to check out the Tokidoki Collection! OMG the packaging is SOO cute! I wanted everything! But after swatching all the shadows and everything I think the only thing I'm going to end up buying is the Bastardino Palette. The Diamante and Adios palettes have some gritty glittery shadows I really didn't like. I wanted to love Luminosa highlighter but it's wayy too light for my skin and the 'bronzers' were the color of my skin! It just looked like I had a glitter bomb explode on my skin! The lipgloss brushes are weird it's like a little stub of plastic! Smelled yummy but didn't seem worth teh $15. The glitter liner was surprisingly really pigmented but nothing really wowed me. I didn't like the individual shadows either. Loved the packaging though! Anyway I'll try to put up my collection post this weekend!

FOTD: Mutiny Pigment

I own about 12 MAC pigments and I barely use them! My favorite one definitely has to be Naked pigment - it's the only one that looks like it's used! True to its name, MAC pigments are super pigmented! I love the colors but I barely use them because I'm so messy and most of the time I'm in a rush so I'm scared I'll spill a lot! I haven't bought any of the new pigments [in the new packaging] but it looks like they downsized the product for the same price! Of course the bottle will last you for-freaking-ever but still! I don't know if I like the new packaging - it's supposed to look like their foundation bottles - it's cute, but so small compared to the old packaging!

In this FOTD I used Mutiny pigment, which I got from the Naughty Nauticals collection that came out in `08 I think? It's a pretty light teal/sky blue color. I also got a few samples from Kate at Everyday Minerals so I'm trying out the foundation and I'll definitely let you guys know what I think! So far it's going good =] And I'm using Viva Glam Cyndi! It's definitely my fave I think I need to go for a back up!

FOTD: Dark Brown Smokey Eye

I really liked how this FOTD came out! Ugh but I keep forgetting to take pictures of my eyes CLOSED so you can actually see it. If you really wanna see it I'll do it again and take pics lol. My sister curled my hair because for some reason I cannot curl my own hair for the life of me! As promised, here's a post! lol I haven't done one of these in such a long time I completely forgot to take a picture of my eyes closed! I didn't like it at first because it reminded me of the Lakers! But it actually came out really nice! The pic is from one of my last days with my honey - he's deploying to Iraq & he left for training a week ago. =[ Normally I would cut him out but it's a good picture of me & I miss him LOL! I used Bright Future and Vibrant Grape from the MAC Style Warriors collection last June. It looks like I barely touched them so I thought I'd bust them out.

Speaking of addiction, the MAC Spring Colour Forecast comes out this week! I think I might be able to resist this one but judging by everyones swatches I know I want to get Victorian L/S for sure! Maybe the Blush Ombres too just because they look so cool! I think it would've been cooler if they had the different "forecasts" have colored packaging! Like pink, purple, coral, amber. That would've been so cute! But owell MAC good thing you didn't so I don't have to be suckered it!

It's supposedly a MAC collection coming out this Summer called "Back to the Beach." Wish I knew the details it looks so cooool! Not a big fan of the orange packaging (IDK why they keep using it!) but the little seahorse is so cute! I wish I could understand her website because it looks like she has so much good information on there!

And one last thing, I'm jealous nobodys asking me questions on formspring so ask me anything! lol

FOTD: Vanilla Plumage

I did this FOTD this past weekend & as requested I used more greens! I should post up what eyeshadows I have then you guys can pick which ones you wanna see in my FOTD! lol I am using my greens but Plumage is a really dark green and it looks like a regular smokey eye because my flash is really bright. =[ Hopefully you guys can still see it though! FOTD: Smokey Green

Last night I depotted a couple of my eyeshadows and I finally filled up my Green Palette! =] I love seeing a full palette! But it made me realize how much I neglect my green e/s because there's barely a dent in any of them. For this FOTD I used all greens and I didn't even use Carbon! yayy I used Aquavert from the Sugarsweet Collection [originally from Lure collection] & Flourishing from the Matte2 collection [now DC] plus Bio Green which is a pro color. Aquavert was one of the colors I depotted and I looove this color. It's such a pretty minty green color I think it looks great as a lid color. Hope you like it!
